How to Spin a Live Debate

A lot of people laugh at the very notion of doctoring a live event. But it’s not very hard.

1. Ask loaded questions.

Unfortunately, Ron Paul wasn’t more clear about what he wants to do with the CIA. He doesn’t want to entirely eliminate it. (Note: watch Rudy’s facial expressions.)

2. Turn up Rudy’s cackle.

3. Encourage the moderators to laugh at Ron Paul before he gets the opportunity to respond.

4. Slice, dice and omit relevant parts of the debate when you comment on it post-debate.

5. Lie about the validity of text polls when Ron Paul is winning. Pretend the polls were spammed.

6. Superimpose the mug of a retarded-looking or despised candidate (Rudy) while Ron Paul is responding to a question. This will incite boos from the audience.

7. Alter the applause volume.
