This is so cool! Dubli has launched in Europe, the U.S. and Australia (and one failed launch in China). They are losing close to a million U.S. dollars per month with approx. five million in the bank (probably less). The next “launch” will be a small boat with the remainder of the Dubli bank account headed for the nearest country without an extradition agreement with the U.S. And the countdown begins. . .

Eastern Europe? North West Africa? Wow! These are the up-and-coming, powerhouse economies of the 21st century! Look to the future! Ignore the past!

Like… What happened to the launches in China? Australia? How are those going? Surely the results there would give you the perfect indicator of the results of future launches.

I’ve never seen any organization manage to increase its revenues by 600% over the year before, while simultaneously doubling the cost of said revenue and dropping the gross profit about 90% while they’re at it. (based on the results for the 3 months ending March 31, 2012).

It takes a rare kind of business genius to sell $29,361,662.00 worth of whatever it is they sell, at a cost of $29,133,972.00 (before expenses).

It’s also interesting to see that despite the fact that “Dubli is really taking off”, the number of credits used and broken in the first quarter of 2012 was 12% below the amount in the first quarter of 2011.

What can I say? Pure genius.

Medianet (Dubli’s parent corp.) is currently traded OTCBB and does post it’s financials. If you would bother to read the financials that Medianet files you will realize that they have been losing money. They fail the tests for both market capitalization and profit history to join NASDAQ. So, why do they push out a press release stating that they are going to apply when it so obvious they can’t qualify? Because talk is cheap. It is just like the time they rented a Bentley to promote the giving away of one to their top producers back in 2010. Guess what didn’t happen. And it was probably a good thing as Dubli was scrounging for cash with only approximately million dollars liquid. At $225,000 a whack they really couldn’t afford too many Bentley convertibles. Yet, they promoted it anyway. Here is my bet: Dubli will get on to the NASDAQ when you win a building lot in the Cayman Islands from them.

Yet there are still MLMs. Supposedly the creator of Xango, chaga etc, suspiciously don’t want to make a lot of profit. They want spread their profits in a hit or miss recruitment scheme to thousands os sellers called BAs or whatever. Supposedlt these people are to go forth and ruin family events, divide church congregation, complicate every social relationship by trying to rope in new customers.

Yhe whole process stinks. If any friend or family member tries to get you involved with any MLM they are not your friend, they are your enemy. They care only for their own greed not your social and financial well-being. They are basically selling false dreams, false promises and business empires built on air.

I can’t believe any MLM is still going in 2012. Mary Kay? Buy cosmetics online! Amway? Plastic is really cheap or haven’t the Amway executives heard? Also, other Amway products are much cheaper elsewhere. Mannatech? Buy those supplements online for a fraction of the cost! Noni Juice? Again buy online save money and don’t lose your friends! Xango? Buy online for a tenth of the cost. And on it goes.

Dubli? Just buy what you want at stores and online. Buy direct from stores or use ebay. No one wants the complicated checking prices nonsense, gold levels, webinars, extreme shipping fees, Vice President Bentley giveaways, Rolex giveaways of promises of land in “Dubliland”. To be part of this you have to bother everyone you know with this crazy scheme. People just want simplicity when they shop. Dubli is just an absolute nightmare of convolution. It’s stupid. No normal person would waste their time with it.

It was for a website, which was similar to http://www.kwibids.com (I’m not putting the actual URL, they don’t deserve the traffic). The high-energy, fast-talking attractive female talking-body spun a yarn about how there was a ‘fun’ and ‘easy’ way to ‘bid’ for items (iPads, laptops and so on). Freezing and reading the small print led me to believe that a) you had to buy a $60 ‘bid package’ to allow you to bid on the items you wanted and b) you paid $.60 to lower the price by $.01.

That’s right, the exact same model that dubli [ab|mis]use and it has glitzy, glossy TV adverts to get suckers^h^h^h people involved AND you don’t have to join up and be a BA (and try to recoup your money by recruiting others). Plus, more money goes to the company than with dubli per bid!

Pure genius!

I guess if you’re not paying BAs their paltry sum for recruits, then, you don’t need ($.80 – $.25) per bid, this whole other company gets to keep every single cent of the $.59 that doesn’t go towards lowering the price.

And I’d like to thank Little Nicky for his mention of my “superiority complex based on nothing”. Simply being acknowledged in this future Robert Frost’s writings is a thrill I cannot express; it’s right up there with being mentioned by Gene McNeally (with the exception that it a bit less original). The key thing is that the intellect is there right on par with Gene’s. I always worried that Gene would one day abandon us. It’s comforting to know that he has a prodigy.

I just want to say that my favourite is Gene McNeally – yes, I’ve googled him and followed his “career” with interest. How does he really think this modern day equivalent of the Titanic is going to have 300 million customers in three months’ time. Where does his unshakeable belief in Dubli come from? Does he really believe everything anyone tells him? My experience with the internet tells me that people almost always lie to you. Why is Gene so different? I really want to go to Douglas, Nebraska and meet him. Sit down with some ice tea and find out what makes him tick. He’s just downright weird. I think a documentary about his life would be interesting. No one else on the planet thinks like him. Not after Bernie Madoff. Not after corporate greed being so exposed. Not after the GFC. Not after the Nigerian scams. Gene is certainly a rare human being. I take my hat off to him.

It doesn’t have a specific date, but based on the items contained within it, I imagine that the site dates from mid-2009, in advance of the official Australia/New Zealand launch in late 2009.

It’s an interesting read – particularly the script for selling Dubli to your friends (under Resources – Downloads – What to say AU). Most of the links from the page are dead, but it’s still an interesting look into the wonderful world of Dubli.

Just a couple of past statements I’d like to be updated on:

Dubli isn’t listed as a scam by any government agency in Australia because… it’s far too small and escapes anyone’s notice. And, most people don’t report their losses to the authorities, because, when they realise they’ve been ripped off, they are generally too embarrassed to admit they were stupid and blinded by their own greed and fast-talking of their recruiter.

People have come onto this site, bragging about how much money they were making and how sweet life was, but, if you click on the links to their websites or google them, you’ll find that they have moved on to other ‘business opportunities’ or their websites have 404d.

Dubli talked about missing out on ‘getting in on the ground floor’ of amazon, google and ebay. Facebook is about to launch (or, in the words of beavis ‘LAAAAUUUNNNNNCCCHHHHH!’) it’s IPO, buy some shares there and see your money grow.

The biggest lies are that BAs can sell dubli credits to their customers and sell products on the website.

The truth is that nobody will ever purchase dubli credits: after a potential customer accepts the “free” credits that a BA gives one to try the gambling games (reverse auction is a very poor description) and they try the games – they immediately understand that it makes no sense. Witness that the only people playing the games are BAs looking for a way to get something/anything back for their useless credits. Further – note that even dubli reports that most credits expire worthless. The BAs couldn’t even give them away.

The only way to make money with dubli is to continuously sign people up as BAs, there is no money to be made selling “product”. It is the definition of a pyramid scam.

I agree that a positive attitude is a good thing to have. However, denying reality simply to be positive may not be a winning strategy.

You may want to go outside during a tornado or blizzard thinking that “Oh, it must be warm and sunny somewhere” – but is that a smart thing to do?

So I can make many Washingtons in exchange for Franklins. Hmmm. . . I’ll pass.

Two reasons. Firstly, this site is slipping down the ranks when you google ‘dubli scam’ and that would never do.

Secondly, the links to people’s personal dubli sites get broken because the dubli part has been changed to groobli.

As for Gene, there are none so blind as those that won’t see.

Possible reasons for this:

- He’s figured out that his posts and reactions to them are the primary generator of traffic on this site (apart from Medianet’s financial results).

- The recently reported financial results are so awful that it’s a waste of time trying to rationalize them away.

- He’s finally figured out that Dubli/Medianet isn’t going anywhere and has quietly slunk away, like all of the other Dubli boosters that used to frequent this site.

- His computer is broken.

I find reasons 1 – 3 to be totally out of character for what we have seen previously, so I vote for #4.

Medianet draws 32.7 of its revenue from the sale of Dubli credits.

Of this 32.7%, an amount equivalent to 26.5% of revenue is considered to be “breakage”, or credits that expire without ever being redeemed.

I’m not sure if this 26.5% should be subtracted from the 32.7% of revenue that’s due to the sale of credits. If this is correct, then about 81% of the Dubli credits that are purchased are never redeemed.

If this revenue is in addition to the revenue from the sale of credits, then it means that about 44% of Dubli credits purchased are never redeemed.

Either way. what does that say about Dubli’s offering, and how useful the average customer finds their credits?

If the “prescribed due date” was Dec31, they “believed” they would file the anaul results on or before Jan15.

In the “NT 10-K form”, MEDG also says:
As previously stated on Form 8-K filed on December 2, 2011, the Registrant anticipates restating its financial statements for each of the quarters for the year ended September 30, 2011 and for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2010.

In other words, this is a replay somewhat similar to their financial restating issues they had a year ago when they wrote in their previous “NT 10-K form” dated Dec30, 2010:

As previously stated on Form 8-K, filed on December 16, 2010, as amended by Form 8-K/A filed on December 21, 2010, the Company anticipates restating its financial statements for each of the quarters for the year ended September 30, 2010 and for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2009.

On both occasions (NT 10-K form) they also wrote:

In my opinion, Dubli appears to be a “pyramid” scheme. A pyramid scheme is also recruitment based but does not use the victims’ money to form a false return; they simply tell the victims to recruit more and “earn” their share of the recruitment income. The characteristic in common is their organizational charts are pyramid shaped as both require continuous expansion to survive. Also, they all eventually collapse. . . all of them.

Recently I was looking for a new electric 0ral-B toothbrush to replace my old one that was getting slower and slower…

Searched for it (“0ral-b”) in the Dubli mall… Top 4 results:

First result:
“0ral Fixation Tour: Bonus CD”

Third result:
“0ral And Dental Trauma in Children and Adolescents”

Fourth result:
“0ral $*# He’ll Never Forget”

Only the second result was related to the 0ral-B toothbrush (“0ral-b Pro Bright replacement Heads”), but even here we don’t see an offer for (one of the various models of) the actual toothbrush itself, but only for replacement heads…

and this while at the left side of the search results it states:

The reason that the traffic to the various DubLi sites around the world are so low is because the auctions, as you said, mean nothing. And after losing money on a silly auction, if you are insane enough to have hung around, the shopping mall is a joke too. Overly complicated and without saving! This whole concept of VIP packages and buying credits to shop is simply not a good business plan. And the Medianet reports show that.

Gene, if the Auctions are merely “eye candy”, then where is the company supposed to make its money? It has always been said that the auctions were supposed to be the draw to bring people into the shopping mall, or more recently the entertainment portal. But as Texarse points out, there aren’t enough auctions to generate a lot of traffic, and as the Road Warrior points out, the shopping mall is useless compared with more conventional online retailers. In recent months, we haven’t heard word one about the entertainment portal, which doesn’t sound promising.

Next, dubli has “Tiffany Sparklers Praseolite Earrings”, which are valued at $500-00.

ebay has one of those, which also has a matching necklace. There is furious bidding on it, which has it up to $405-00.

Next, dubli has a “Iconia Dual Screen Touchbook” Valued at $1,200-00.

ebay has 14, ranging in value from $1,199-00 to $695-00.

Next, dubli is offering “Christmas Surprise Day 6″, which is a prize that they “won´t reveal [...] until the auctions are over but [...] they will bring you holiday joy!” So we can assume that it will be your BA joining fee back? Or, maybe a p-p-p-powerbook?

ebay only offers real items, so, there is no comparison.

Or having to join up some faux multi-level-marketing, quasi-Ponzi scheme which, if it isn’t fading fast, certainly isn’t gaining any traction (my money is on the former, though).

I currently need two things. One is a concert ticket for a music festival on this weekend and the other is a copy of Stephen King’s new novel for a Christmas present.

I didn’t really expect DubLi to help me with the concert ticket. Right I was.

I did think though that I would be able to find and purchase a book by a world famous author for a good price. That is, if DubLi can deliver on what it promises.

After 5 minutes of navigating the AU shopping mall, typing “stephen king” and “11/22/63″ into the search field….nothing came up that remotely satisfied my query. I mean, it’s supposed to be simple right? I then got very, very, VERY frustrated. Then I clicked on Categories, and noticed that I could go to seekbooks.com.au (which I could have done anyway). But I don’t go there because the books are too expensive.

After a quick trip to bookdepository.com, I located my book for $20.60 (AUD) and free shipping. It was $32.99 plus $6.95 shipping from DubLi’s suggestion.

Do you see how that one example will turn a customer off for good?

Do you see that the auctions are not fun? When someone buys credits and spends money bidding on something and loses, that is not fun. That is stupid.

If I’m on ebay, and I bid, and I don’t win the item, I am not down on money. In the DubLi auction, if I don’t win, I AM down on money. THE CONCEPT IS RIDICULOUS.

In the mall, when navigation is not intuitive and results don’t appear or return items that can easily be found cheaper elsewhere, that is not fun either!

I realise this will fall on deaf ears…that you will respond with things like:

“Dubli is working”

Fact – It isn’t. I was away from this blog for 18 months and upon returning, found the less than impressive web traffic still less than impressive. No growth.

I don’t need to make smart comments here to highlight the absolute absurdity of that comment.

Your first post was on October 29th, 2008. Back then you were saying the same thing.

You see that 3 years have passed since that first post and every comment you make alludes to next year being the “big year”…or a launch…or growing interest…or the fact that you’re “not kidding”.

I’m looking at the website. All the “portals”. The same inconsistencies remain – except now there is a reverse trend in that auctions are shown to have between 1% and 5% savings (instead of the 97% – 100% savings) to look more realistic. Yet they are still being won by the SAME PEOPLE. Over and over. Look at it for yourself. Intelligent people just don’t fall for that sort of rubbish.

So many facts have been outlined over the past 3 years. And still those within DubLi fail to respond to them in a meaningful way.

The fact is…what you are told in your “meetings”, “webinars”, “gatherings” etc simply does not agree with the real world facts:

DubLi is there, it exists. But most people don’t really care.

I have a question for all Dubli BAs. Do you believe Michael Hansen is God, a god, a prophet or just an angel? Careful, it’s a trick question!

DubLi was launched in Denmark a few weeks ago, and I already know some upcoming BAs. I’m therefore very interested in this debate.

I talked briefly with a BA and obviously he said it would be a huge succes and one day everybody would shop through the DubLi shopping mall. It is a win-win because the BAs profit on the costumers, the costumers get discounts when buying through DubLi, and the retailers sell products without spending money on advertisement.

I called a few of the shops listed as retailers in the shopping mall and none of them knew they were on the list and for sure they didn’t provide any discount when buying through DubLi. So it doesn’t seem promising…

The BA keeps mention that from January 2012 and a year onwards DubLi will be promoted daily in a one hour national TV show in the United States. Have any of you heard of that? According to the BA this will increase the amount of DubLi users exponentially

We always questioned this…how unrealistic it is to be bidding against others buyers and have them reject low prices. The answer was usually that a single BA was unloading credits.

Over just a week, their traffic rank has fallen 1260 positions, over a month it has fallen 3067 positions, and over three months, it has fallen 5077 positions. They’re on track to end the year where they started, or lower.

Something funny is up with MEDG stock – the share price had a big uptick on Wednesday. Presumably, this is insider trading in advance of some announcement (perhaps the opening of the Antarctica online shopping mall, or the new second phase of Dubliland to be built in sunny Southern Montserrat).

A lot of the figures we are quoting are from MediaNet’s legally required filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, which is in contrast to your quote of “all your figures are just pulled out of the air”. But what’s the big hype about when all those cards get sold for an average of 2 – 5% savings, and they all get sold – globally – to a just a handful of people?
And are these people all BA’s ‘working together’ to reach (having reached?) the ‘tipping point’?

Doesn’t only 2-5% savings also mean that not much Dubli-credits (the life line of the business) are being spent?

That probably explains the “silence” on this site that Gene alludes to. A lot of traffic here (and at the Australian Whirlpool site) in times past was people who had heard of Dubli, or had been approached about becoming a BA, looking for further information. We don’t get visitors like that any more, and the Alexa data suggest why. Perhaps those discussions are happening elsewhere on the internet, in Russian. But in the English speaking world, it appears that the Dubli concept is pretty much dead and buried, because no one is out there selling any more and/or no one is foolish enough to buy. That just leaves those of us who visit here for entertainment purposes, and Gene.

If your company would just have the decency to fail a bit more quickly we could move on. I’m hoping by Christmas we can wrap this stage up and then go on “indictment watch”.

Additionally, the description of the cards (as far as I can see) is decidedly vague about where you can redeem them. I didn’t see any reference to anywhere I was familiar with that such a card could be redeemed. Why plunk down good money to buy a card if there’s no clear information about where (or if) you can actually redeem it?

I think they’ll lose another million USD this quarter and “no”, I don’t believe they sold 5,000 xpress gift cards, much less “50,000″.

I don’t know exactly what happened, but given that the site is still here, two possible conclusions come to mind:

1) Given that there don’t seem to have been any more communications between Eagle and Dubli’s legal types, either Dubli couldn’t afford to pursue further legal action, or they found that they didn’t have a chance of shutting this place down through legal action.

2) The fact that Dubli was so concerned about this forum gives the lie to Gene’s comments about “this insignificant blog” or similar. Clearly they did think that this forum was important enough to make an attempt to shut it down.

Also — Not a conclusion, but a guess on my part — they probably knew from the start that there wasn’t any legal way that they could shut this forum down. Bringing in the attorneys was probably an attempt to scare this forum out of business. When Eagle didn’t get scared, the approach was abandoned — because all it ever could be was a scare tactic.

Finally, one for Gene. I couldn’t help noticing that you never attempt to answer the posts I make here about Medianet’s posted financial results. Hmm, I wonder why that is…

Nobody ever made any money selling dubli “product”. The only way to make money is to sign up stupid/lazy/greedy poeple. But why would you do that to your friends and family?

You have two choices — either Medianet is filing misleading reports with the SEC (illegal, and a very suspicious activity for a so-called “great company”), or alternatively, the reports are true, and the company is a consistant money loser that no one can possibly be getting rich from, save possibly from stock manipulation.

Which is it?

In a review of this grand opportunity, I have to say I would avoid it.

Sounds like there are a lot of risks that they’re admitting to, not even counting “risk that upper management will take your money and disappear somewhere in Malta”, or “risk that your family and friends will be so estranged that every get together for the next 2 decades will awkward as hell” or “risk that you won’t be able to look at yourself in a mirror after being taken so badly”.

However, I suspect that the reason that the message count has fallen off here is the fact that Dubli has essentially dropped off the face of the earth in North America, and judging by the even slower traffic on the Whirlpool board, down under as well. I visit here for entertainment purposes, but the traffic has dropped off enough that I only visit once a week or so now.

All the early hype talked about how Dubli was going to be the “next eBay” or the “next Amazon”. (An article from 2008 described how Dubli was “predicted by some to surpass the popularity of eBay by the year 2010″). I’ve been hearing that for two and a half years now. And I still haven’t seen a word about Dubli anywhere, other than occasions when I’ve been specifically looking for it online. If I hadn’t stumbled across this board while searching for something else entirely, I suspect I would still have never heard of Dubli, and I suspect that 99.9% of fellow North Americans would fall into the same category.

Note that while the traffic from Dubli skeptics has dropped off, traffic from Dubli BOOSTERS (Gene aside) has stopped entirely. I note that when I plug “Dubli” into Google, the second thing that comes up is this site. When the second link that comes up on Google is a low traffic blog that is bashing your site, that doesn’t speak well for your web presence.

The financial reports for Medianet speak for themselves – I’ve noticed that Gene never addresses any queries raised about them. I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes there right at the moment, but I suspect it’s not pretty.

At the current burn rate for Dubli (approximately on million USD per fiscal quarter) I estimate Dubli will exhaust all of its’ available funds in less than two quarters and have to rely upon the CEO making good on his pledge to loan more money to keep the company afloat. Medianet reported GROSS sales in the last reported quarter for the entire US market being LESS than a million dollars. Tell me, Gene, how many US Dubli millionaires can you have with less than four million dollars per year in GROSS sales? Oh, I know, I keep forgetting about the soon explode viral marketing campaign that will make it all happen. 2012 the world, as a whole, might not end, but for Dubli. . .

They did get a desperately needed private placement of approx. 5 million USD to hold them together and they have a 2.1 million dollar dispute with their previous credit card company that could yield some cash. . . someday. It may appear expensive but with Dubli’s global expansion firmly under way it’s well worth it (certain conditions and restrictions may apply; this is not to be considered a guarantee of revenues, if any, to be generated by said website). I’m sure if you ask around to the Dubli BA’s you can get an ironclad, all inclusive, hypothetical guarantee of a substantial return on your investment (verbally delivered, of course). Most of the traffic seems to be from Russia these days, so Dubli just arrived, like last year in Australia.
With 5 visitors per day to the most popular of the Dubli sites, I think it would be better to ask if any sales at all go to customers OR BA’s- I suspect that the only “sales” taking place are, in fact, fake, and designed to pull in new suckers….er, BA’s.

Do I believe your statements or MediaNet’s (Dubli’s parent company) own filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission that showed a seven figure loss for the last fiscal quarter that they filed? And, “yes” three hundred dollars is a lot to me; that’s ten lap dances I’d be giving up!

I made an earlier prediction that the 2nd quarter would be decisively negative for Medianet. I believe when the financials for this quarter are released, which, by the way, are late getting to the SEC, they will show further heavy losses. How many quarters with seven figure losses do you think Michael Hansen will fund before even he decides to call it a day?

1) I coudln’t help noting that there aren’t any dates on the completed transactions, so you can’t tell how much business the site is actually doing.

2) Most of the cards sell for only a minor discount (5 – 10%). Assuming that you have to pay the lowest level for shipping ($15.00), most people are probably losing money in the transaction. (This doesn’t even begin to consider the costs you have to pay to be a member/VIP member so that you can participate in the auction in the first place).

3) The site provides almost no information about the cards, how one would redeem them, and even if they apply to your area. Assuming that I was interested in participating in an auction, I would want some kind of confirmation that the items I was going to purchase would actually be of use, before I bought them.

1) on all Dubli sites (us/eu/au/global) there are now only 6 gift cards running at a time in the Xpress departments, and at this moment only 12 auctions in the UniqueBid sections

2) as a ‘regular’ (non-BA) ‘customer’ one now requires a “VIP” membership (at AU$29.95 / US$28.95 / EU€19.95 monthly) to be able to participate in the Xpress auctions … I haven’t read anything about a restriction to participate in the UniqueBid auctions

Gene (aka “Live Liberty For Freedom”) can’t remember what he had for breakfast much less the name of someone who tried to talk sense into him. He thinks we are all the same people, anyway (you, me, Only facts and all of the rest). To him we are nothing less than a giant conspiracy dedicated to confusing him. . . just like his breakfast (I heard he had “shouting” episodes at the International House of Pancakes).

Geez, I write here for years, and he ignores me, and writes about people who have only been on here for a week or so.

Gene, if Medianet/Dubli were a “great company”, then they probably wouldn’t care very much about one negative website. Instead of attempting to muzzle criticism by threatening this place with legal action (something they don’t seem to have followed up on, perhaps realizing that legally they don’t have a leg to stand on), they could blunt criticism in the best possible way — by demonstrating the reality of their claims.

Unfortunately, this strategy isn’t open to them. The actual reality of their claims is fairly plain to those that bother to take a close look.

I have spent 20 years in the MLM industry and I like the MLM industry and have made good money from it.I also sold off a traditional business to do Dubli full time. Why would I lie about it. I have no reason to lie about Dubli, I am just trying to help people save money from getting involved.

If you do your due diligence you just have to look at the facts.
Dubli has been around for 10 years and if their model worked why don’t they have an abundance of customers. Yes sure, they can lie to you and tell you that they have the customers, but their financial statements tell a different story. The financials don’t lie no matter what spin is put on it. Dubli is the king of spin.
Dubli will tell you that they keep changing their business model, but the truth is that they still haven’t got it right after 10 years. No one will pay 80c a credit to bid in the unique auctions. It is to expensive and people will lose too much. The only people bidding are BA’s. It’s just common sense. Which customers will commit to $30 per month for the express auction. It won’t happen, once again just BA’s.

2 VP’s that have quit are Trevor Chatham in Australia -Dubli will say that they sacked him but the truth was that he had to choose between Dubli and another company and he chose the other one. That meant not accepting his land in the Caymens

Jim Pare from America quit and went and did something else.
There were also some VP’s in Europe that have quit. If VP is so good why did these people quit?

There are a ton of Sales Directors that have quit. Too many to name. Not propaganda but truth. Why would I lie?

I appreciate people like “Live Liberty For Freedom” are very passionate about what they believe in, and good on them. They just don’t want to have their passion blind them from the facts. Thats how people get ripped off.

I hope that by taking this time that I have helped at least one person and saved their money.

Some MLM companies are good, you just need to find the good ones. they are few and far between but don’t listen to the hype, check out the facts. The same way you would with any other business. If something smells fishy then it is normally fish.

Let me give you an example.
1.Every year you have to renew with a $175US renewal fee. In Australia that fee is $225 even tough the Aussie dollar is higher than the US dollar Around $1.07. We are being stolen from
2, Dean Mannheimmer is a lier. He blatantly states lies at every function and webinar i have attended. If you need a list I have 2 years worth of examples.
3. Dubli steals from its asscociates/distributors.
All credits used to be in each associates customer account. Dubli then moved all of their credits to their business account. Dubli stated that this was for legal reasons. It is very coincidental that if distributor/associate doesn’t pay the renewal fee their account is deleted, along with all of the credits that that distributor has PAID FOR. It is like you buying product, putting it in your shed and then when you quit working with the place you bought product from they come and take back all the product you PAID FOR. It is stealing. When Dubli was asked why they don’t just transfer the credits to the distributors customer account they replied they can’t. that is strange seeing that they had no problems transferring the credits to begin with. The LIE & STEAL.
4. Out of a group of 2000 there was less than a 5% renewal. The worst renewal I have seen in any MLM company.
5. Most of the senior distributors in USA and Australia have quit. If Dubli is that great why are their senior distributors quitting? I could name several VP’s who have quit. Let alone numerous sales directors.
6. In my experience to win a Unique bid you need to spend on average around 200 credits and that is just to give yourself a shot at winning. That is going to cost the average punter $160. Which customer is going to spend that and then possibly lose. This model WILL NEVER go viral as Dubli says it will. The only people bidding are Distributors/associates. The customer ratios is next to nil.
7. Now they are wanting customers to sign up on a $30 per month every month program. It will not happen.
8. Dubli management has LOST THE PLOT.

It takes a special sort of honesty to admit that you were both wrong and stupid.

Call me a cynic (and you’d be quite right) but, I suspect that that sort of honesty would be in short supply for people who think pyramid schemes are a great way to make money. So, no complaints from them.

There have been a few that I’ve seen admit their mistake, acknowledge their foolishness and then become dubli’s biggest detractors.

My comments re: Gene’s reply:

If you look here in the earlier posts, or on the Australian Whirlpool site, you can find lots of people who were in Dubli and didn’t like it. Presumably, these people aren’t in Dubli any more, so perhaps Gene’s statement might still be true. Given the recent financial numbers for Medianet, it sounds like finding someone who is in Dubli at all might be nearly as challenging as finding someone who is in Dubli and loves it.

2) Gene said: “Notice you don’t get any complaints from BAs. Why? Because they are making money!”

See 1) above — there are lots of complaints here and on Whirlpool from people who were BAs at the time they complained. As far as money goes — the idea that individual BAs are making millions is absurd when the entire company (based on its own financial statements) only made $3 million in gross revenue (with an actual bottom line of a $1.4 million loss) last quarter.

As I said before, up is the part that is blue with white fluffy things. Down is the part that is usually green or brown, or sometimes white during the winter.

Very easy. First ask him to find any positive independent press on Dubli. Surely a company so innovative and impressive would have positive articles published regularly. He wont find any.

Second, simply ask him to supply any independent conformation on any claim made by Dubli. He won’t be able to. If after these little tests of the company, he still insists Dubli is worth investing in then I’m afraid you will just have to walk away. If Dubli doesn’t get his money some other snake oil salesman will.

Does your friend have any experience with MLM? MLM only works when most of the money is made selling “the product”. The good products are ones that ensure repeat business; consumables like soap, shampoo, vitamins, and moisturizing cream are good examples. The best ones are superior products that are unique (sole source) to that MLM.

If most of the money is made selling the MLM, that is, selling memberships to the MLM then it’s just a pyramid/ponzi scheme.

Ask your friend to get some free credits and then try the dubli games to see if he likes them and if he would spend money to buy more credits.

If he tries the games he will discover what a waste of time they are and then hopefully he’ll understand that nobody will be a repeat customer to buy “the product”.

dubli is not new. It’s almost 10 years old now with a long track record of failed launches in every market they have ever entered. The only way to make money is to be constantly signing people up. Nobody buys dubli credits for their own use.

If he does sign up he will lose his investment and his friends. It would be a shame certainly – but you can only do so much. Warn him and ask him to try the games himself and get him to do some research: Google “dubli scam”. There are loys of links exposing the scam and discussing the reality of being a dubli member.

Ultimately your friend is responsible for his own stuff. If he’s really determined you have to let him try.

Departure of Directors or Certain Officers

On March 30, 2011, Kent Lee Holmstoel resigned from his position Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) and as a member of the Board, which resignation was effective on that date. Mr. Holmstoel has advised the Company that his resignation was not the result of any disagreement between the Company and him on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices. The Company is in the process of negotiating the terms of a separation agreement with Mr. Holmstoel.

On March 31, 2011, Andreas Kusche resigned his position as a member of the Board, which resignation was effective on that date. Mr. Kusche’s resignation was not the result of any disagreement between the Company and him on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices. Mr. Kusche remains in his roles as General Counsel and Secretary of the Corporation.

This doesn’t include several very high up BA’s that have now………………what do they say about rats and sinking ships?

Until recently, the market capitalization for Medianet has usually been about $4 – 5 million, depending on whether the stock is at $0.14 or $0.17.

However, I noticed today that the market capitalization is at $39 million or something, with the stock value still at $0.16.

I know that Medianet was planning to add ten times more shares, as we discussed before. But can you do this, and not affect the value of the stock – In other words, just create $34 million dollars out of thin air?

Indeed a tenfold(ish) increase seems to be planned. Number of authorized common shares: 50 million (of which 28.6 million are/were ‘outstanding’) will be increased tenfold to 500 million, and the number of outstanding common shares will be increased to 214+ million.

Interesting numbers in the annual reports – I can understand why they weren’t in any hurry to release them. It will be interesting to see if they pursue being listed on the OTCBB again, or choose to stay on the Pink Sheets.

While the fact that Medianet derive most of their revenue from the sale (and subsequent non-use) of Dubli credits isn’t much of a surprise, it’s still interesting to see the actual numbers, and to see just how little revenue they make from anything else. It’s also interesting to see (by comparing the fiscal 2010 numbers with the figures for September to December 2010) how much the Australian/New Zealand business has fallen off. I guess the bulk of the fiscal 2010 revenues were people that bought in anticipation of being part of “the next big thing”, and the results for the subsequent quarter reflect people discovering that “there’s no there there”.

One thing that still puzzles me from the recent reports to the SEC (which Kees hasn’t yet addressed). If you read the usual financial data (on the Yahoo Finance page, for instance), they give Medianet a market capitalization of 4.29 million (at a stock price of $0.15/share), indicating that there are about 28.6 million shares of Medianet.

However, if you read http://biz.yahoo.com/e/110330/medg.pk8-k_a.html, there is information about Medianet vastly increasing the number of shares – by my interpretation, to about ten or twenty times the number of shares that are currently out there. Does anyone have any idea why they would want to do this, and what this would accomplish?

Item 3. Legal Proceedings

The Company has historically relied upon two service providers to process credit card transactions arising from purchases of the Company’s services and products. Disagreements have emerged between the Company and one such service provider, National Merchant Center (“NMC”), as to the permitted amount of reserves, if any, that NMC is eligible to maintain.

On September 22, 2010 certain of the Company’s subsidiaries instructed NMC to return to them all of the cash held in reserve with respect to the Company’s account. In response to such demand, on November 1, 2010, NMC informed the Company that it was terminating the Company’s merchant account with NMC and holding all of the Company’s funds and deposits for a period of 180 days after the last chargeback (which have averaged less than 1.2% of sales or approximately $63,000 the account since was established in December 2009).

On October 27, 2010, DUBLICOM Limited and DubLi Network Limited, both of which are wholly owned subsidiaries of the Company, initiated legal action against NMC in U.S. District Court (the “Court”) for the Southern District of Florida (Case Number: 1:10-cv-24563-DLG) to seek recovery of approximately $2,162,000 of reserves held at the direction NMC plus various other awards, costs and expenses.

DUBLICOM Limited and DubLi Network Limited (collectively, the “Subsidiaries”) allege that NMC committed civil theft and conversion by depriving the Subsidiaries of the use of the funds by appropriating the funds to NMC’s own use. NMC’s legal counsel has since informed the Company that NMC is in bankruptcy, the subject funds are being held in escrow in California by a third party in a bank account and such funds are not involved in the NMC bankruptcy case.

In an effort to delay the recovery of the funds sought by the Subsidiaries, NMC filed a motion to dismiss the case for improper venue and failure to state any adequate claims. In addition, NMC moved the court to transfer the case to the U.S. District Court in the Central District of California (the “California Court”) due to improper venue.

On March 14, 2011, the Court issued an order granting NMC’s request to transfer the case to the California Court, but denied NMC’s motion to dismiss the case for improper venue and the failure to state a claim. In light of the Court’s decision, the Subsidiaries are currently reviewing their options, but they will continue to aggressively pursue legal action against NMC for the purpose of recovering the funds.

On February 9, 2011, NMC filed suit against the Company in the Superior Court of the State of California (Case Number: 30-2011-00449062-CU-BC-CJC) seeking to recover approximately $706,000. NMC alleges that the Company breached the agreement between NMC and the Company by (i) failing to abide by the provision that requires that NMC be the exclusive credit card processing company for the Company between March 2010 and February 2013 and (ii) representing that the Company’s website is http://www.DubLi.com and that the Company does business as “DubLi.com.” NMC claims to have terminated the agreement due to the Company’s alleged breach and that through the date of termination it had provided approximately $706,000 worth of services to the Company.

In other words, Michael Hansen promises a $300,000 car to the winner of his contest but doesn’t actually have one; just one he rented. He promises an exclusive community in the Caymans of VP’s and SVP’s, then proceeds to sell off the parcels to the general public (while still running the contest, no less).

All in all, this should be over shortly. I’m speculating that it will start to really unwind in the second quarter of 2011. I believe they will be stopped from moving the stock into an offshore trust which will trigger a hasty retreat from North America with Australian and European authorities taking notice. Well, it’s now March 1st. There have not been any further filings with the SEC by Medianet, either the Year end report that was due at the end of December (which led to Medianet being delisted on the OTCBB), or even the subsequent quarterly report that’s now also overdue. (I think that there were also supposed to be some re-stated earnings from earlier quarters in 2010 as well).

And needless to say, Medianet hasn’t been reinstated on the OTCBB. They’re still listed on the Pink Sheets, where there are no financial reporting requirements (and thus, no genuine information about how a company is really doing).

It’s difficult to escape the conclusion that this is deliberate, that Medianet allowed themselves to be delisted off the OTCBB rather than file the reports that would shed light on their finacial situation.

Medianet was delisted from the OTCBB at the end of the day Tuesday.

On Wednesday, their stock was relisted on the Pink Sheets (a more ‘dodgy’ place to have your shares listed).

Strictly speaking, I don’t know if you could call having your shares on the OTCBB “being listed on a stock exchange”. But at least it required a certain amount of financial information about the company to be reported on a regular basis. The Pink Sheets lack even this requirement.

Up to now, Medianet has regularly reported their fiscal information, although recently it has been reported at the last possible moment. Perhaps the breaking point was Medianet’s admission that all of their results from September 2009 on (since the Dubli acquisition, essentially) would have to be restated. Since admitting this, no further financial information has emerged.

Being listed on the OTCBB requires reporting a certain minimum amount of information about the company’s financials. There are no such requirements for shares on the Pink Sheets.

So I assume that the results that would have to be reported in the pending annual report were so bad that it was worth having the stock delisted to avoid having them disclosed.

This is a guess, of course. There may be other reasons. But that’s how it appears, from the outside looking in.

MInd you, the transition may have been seamless enough that the “true believers” may barely even notice.

Medg(e) will have all the opportunity to file their late Forms with the SEC whenever they want. As far as I understand they can apply for an OTCBB listing/quoting again after they have filed all the regular necessary files (10Q, 10K, etc) on time for the next year…

In my limited knowledge the deletion is only from NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers) and not the SEC. They still have 1 day left. It has been suggested to me that all is not well in the Dubli hierarchy. Out of business hours phone calls are running hot questioning the CEO’s ability to lead the company. In the past, those Directors/Management and high end BA’s that were not happy simply left. Apparently now however, there are those testing the waters for a potential no confidence vote. If Dubli does not make the SEC deadline, there will be a mass evacuation. If it does make the deadline, there very well may be a new CEO.

This suggests that the number of peple visiting Dubli with the intent of actually trying to win/purchase something is even lower than the graphs suggest.

There have been a few press releases from Dubli/Medianet this week, but still no sign of an annual report. If there isn’t a report released by the 16th, the stock will be delisted from the OTCBB. Interestingly, I think that the 15th will be the day that Medianet will also have to file a report with the SEC explaining that the next quarterly report (for the quarter ending December 30th) is being submitted late.

In any event, you have to wonder about a company offering a 2.5 million dollar bonus, when its entire capitalization is only four million dollars (with the share price at 0.14).

the sudden surge in transaction of shares last monday Feb. 7 (one day before the press release about the newly launched german shopping mall came out) was less mysterious/suspicious than originally thought.

It appears the german shopping mall was already launched and presented online last saturday Feb. 5, during the 5th german Dubli day, as is reported here:

* The official eu.dubli.com site still has no link to any shopping mall

* At the top of this “de.mall.dubli” site are the icons that are supposed to link to the other dubli sites (eu, us, au and global), but the underlying link to the eu.dubli site has a wrong url: eu.de.dubli.com, which gives a “Server not found” message

* You can choose to view the page either in “Deutsch” or “English”, but all product descriptions are still only in deutsch/german

Wait and see if there are any changes within the “Management team” this is usually a good indication of the reasoning behind Pump & Dump. After I sold my shares (bought at 9 sold at 70ish) there was a lot of action, and director changes. The stock peaked at $1ish then simply deflated.

It was a rollercoaster ride, with 12.5 times the normal trading volume. The shares went up 5 cents, then back down 4 cents, to finish the day one cent up.

Does anyone have any idea why there was such an extraordinary trading day? My own personal theory is that someone arranged a pump-and-dump to inflate the value of the stock and shed their holdings before the bad fiscal news comes due.

Oh yeah, Medianet still hasn’t filed its annual report. Only nine more days to go (if no report is filed), and the stock will be delisted. Can they come up with an annual report in time? And given what we all suspect is in the annual report, will it be curtains, one way or the other?

Incidentally, Medianet is now so late with the annual report that soon they will have to file a form with the SEC explaining why the next quarterly report is being filed late.

Dubli apologists, your explanations/rationalizations/denials for the above information would be welcome. We’re all ears.

I’m afraid you’re incorrect. There have been many positive comments on this site regarding Dubli. Unfortunately, for dubli, the vast majority have been proven wrong. As far as shipping is concerned I do not have enough information to make a judgement. However I do not have a problem if Dubli is in fact making a profit on shipping. It’s called a handling charge and is very common. This, to me, is the least of Dubli’s problems. I find extremely interesting, yet common, that you have chosen not to answer my other questions, debate the information supplied or been able to show me one independent source. Don’t you think if Dubli was as wonderful as it’s made out to be the press would be all over it? In fact I am only aware of two independent news articles every written on Dubli. Both in the Brisbane Times and both hardly positive.

When a company is caught out lying, this should ring alarm bells. When a company is caught out lying as much as Dubli has in the past, it is not very difficult to formulate a conclusion. Personally the lies regarding the bankruptcy in Denmark and the claim that it is not gambling, both of which have been proven, convinced me that Dubli is not a reputable company. The exaggerated claims of customer and BA numbers that simply don’t add up when you look at the SEC lodgings, and that was even before their admission of over inflation, was simply the icing on the cake.

I strongly suggest you hit the Ctrl and F keys, type in Bob and following his journey. This, in my opinion is a highly intelligent gentleman.

Thank you for your response but I think you misunderstood the question. The important term in my question was “independent source”. You can hardly claim Dubli is independent. You also mention “& online” I assume you are referring to a source that is not, or has no connection to, Dubli. If so could you please supply these sites, I would be very interested to read them. It is very important to research any claim positive or negative. To offer an example, Eaglescout claimed Dubli went Bankrupt in Denmark, I would not have necessarily believed him if he had not been able to supply a link to the Danish authority that clearly states that Dubli did in fact go Bankrupt. This he did.

Kees has claimed that Dubli testimonials may be falsified. I would not have necessarily believed him if he had not been able to supply a link showing some of the photos, of these so called happy customers, were in fact stock images from the net. An email from a so called happy customer stating she had not made the testimonial and Dubli had authored it themselves (she demanded the testimonial be removed, which it was). And also several so called happy customers, all with different names yet the photos were of the same person. This he did.

There has been many, many, many negative claims made on this and other sites that can and have been proven by an independent source. On the flip side however, not once has any body been able to supply an independent source to prove a Dubli claim. Please justme, be the first. Surely for such a wonderful, successful, innovative company like Dubli it can’t be that hard. If it is that hard I suggest you ask yourself WHY?

I hadn’t realized that Medianet had gotten an “E” before.

There are additional rules for companies that get the “E” more than once, even if they do eventually file their report and get the “E” removed (as I assume that Medianet did last time). Quoting from:

As far as all-time lows go — I was really thinking of the all-time low during the time that Medianet has owned Dubli. Thanks for the clarification.

All in all, it isn’t looking too good for Medianet or Dubli.

DubLi is planning on hitting the first major milestone with 1 million users on the portal during 2007. For 2009 we are aiming for 10 million.

I can remember at least 1 additional time in the past 1 or 2 year(s) that they had an “E” added in their ticker symbol for a brief period of time…. according to the SEC rules they shouldn’t make a habit of it, or they run additional risks of being delisted as a penalty.

Btw, the all time low for Medg was 4 cents, occuring in Januari, March and June 2009 (see 5-year graphs at e.g. yahoo-finance)

Evidently, Medianet is on the verge of being kicked off the Over The Counter Bulletin Board (where Medianet stock is traded). This is because Medianet has not yet filed the required annual report with the SEC. The stock symobol (normally MEDG.OB) is now designated MEDGE.OB to reflect this. The listing is here:

2. Incompetence in Medianet’s management
3. Conscious decision not to disclose

I vote for number 3 because I believe they have some really severe cash flow problems. If it is number 3 you can flush this turd right down the toilet

Given the delays in releasing the annual report (and the previous reports stating that Medianet’s incomes for all of the quarters of the fiscal year would need to be “restated” over what was previously reported), you have to wonder what’s going on.

Firstly we understand the model all too well. The problem is, with respect, people such as yourself seem to think it’s some revolutionary innovative system and nothing could be further from the truth. In fact Hanson has been trying this for 9 years that we know of, with failure after failure.

Can you direct me to an independent site that will verify any of Dubli’s claims? Keeping in mind their latest SEC filing. By their own admission their numbers are exaggerated, so why would you still believe them? If it were me, I would be contacting Dubli insisting on the true numbers as well as insisting on conformation from an independent source.

For those of you thinking about a refund, this a perfect time based on Dubli’s admission.

Where are you getting your information from? It sure can’t be from the SEC or any other independent body.

Also there is no comparison to Amazon or EBay, no matter how much dubli wishes it. This has been discussed many times on this and other threads. Dubli entered a flooded market, and relied on the tiered old MLM model. This instantly should have, and did, set off alarms bells. I am all for Network Marketing, but MLM is simply to open to abuse. It always has, and always will be. Dubli relies so much on “Going Viral” but never took into account the flip side. It is far too easy for sites like this and others to pop up and prove all their claims wrong. Dubli never had a mechanism in place to combat this, so has always been on the back foot when trying to legitimise their actions. Dubli is too slow or unwilling to debate their, so called business model, in a public forum. They leave to people such as Gene to grasp at straws; make ridicules claims in a useless attempt to defend the undependable. Dubli is not only allowing, but is very happy to have Gene be their public face. This in itself should give you a heads up on the practises of this company.

If you wish to debate Dubli further, please supply some tangible facts, or at least investigate the facts supplied here first. If you can prove us wrong please do so. I will admit I was very wrong in one respect. I truly believed Dubli would crash and burn before this. I believed surely some government body would put a stop to it. Unfortunately, Dubli has had so little impact on the market, they are not worth investigation. I now realise Dubli will merely fade away.

In six days MediaNet’s annual report is required to be submitted to the SEC (the deadline for the extended filing falls on a weekend so I believe they get until the next business day to file). We shall see if your “little company that can” has a prayer of avoiding liquidation or if it shall continue to dog paddle along. Myself; I’d be using up all of those tokens from my Gold Level mebership in a hurry. . . oh, wait; I’m not stupid enough to have bought a package into this lame brained scheme so I don’t have anything to liquidate.

The MediaNet stock has dropped below 16 cents per share showing that market confidence in Dubli is very weak. So who is right; Dubli BA’s or Wall Street? I’ll bet on Wall Street.
