I can pray to Jesus Christ every day and I can go to church every day, but if I don’t believe in Jesus Christ as some sort of prophet or divine being, then I’m just lying to myself, no matter how hard I try.

Would God appreciate me more for lying just to get into heaven, or would he appreciate my disbelief because it is sincere?

To be honest, I think I have a better standard of morality than most Christians, Jews, and Muslims; so your theory is not very convincing to me.

For all of you people with tolerance, please hear me out, and come to your own conclusion.

Jesus said “ I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Jesus said “The person who has seen me has seen the Father too.”

Jesus said “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

Jesus said “No one can come to the Father except through Me.”

If you don’t believe in Jesus, then reading this is irrelevant.

If you do believe that Jesus existed, (which is documented, and every historian would agree), and you still believe that any path will lead you to heaven, you have to make a choice.

Jesus made these claims.
He is either telling the truth, or He is a liar, and told the biggest lie in the history of the world, and duped billions of people. If He is a liar, than you can throw the entire new testament in the garbage.

Or, He is telling the truth.

We cannot have it both ways.

If you say any belief will get you to heaven, then your throwing out what Jesus said, and if you do that, then your argument has a hole in it because you just eliminated one of the ways to get to heaven.

Ok. Let’s address the boy stranded on an island who never heard of Jesus Christ. There was a man named Paul. He was an apostle of Jesus. Paul lived in the day when Jesus was crucified. Paul did horrible things to Jesus Christ’s followers. He murdered them and tortured them. Jesus came upon Paul one day and subsequently opened Paul’s eyes. Paul went on to be one of the greatest advocates of Jesus. Paul said “I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief.” He goes on to say “and I am the worst of them all.”

Two things come out of this. First, Jesus forgives our sins if we believe and follow him. Second, God has mercy on the ignorant (that boy on the island), no that boy isn’t going to hell because he never heard of Jesus Christ.

The bottom line is: Jesus says He is the only path.
You can’t have more than one path without eliminating Jesus Christ.

I have a theory as to why so many people do not want to believe in Jesus Christ. It convicts you. If you believe, then you need to change. What your doing feels so good, and you don’t want to change that. I understand because I’m the same way, but I believe in Him because just like little children who are scolded for running out in the street, we need our heavenly Father to watch over us too.
